Another milestone in the history of Sager + Mack
The new warehouse and logistics centre was inaugurated in mid-June 2023 together with business partners, representatives from local politics, colleagues and friends and the companies involved in the construction. It took only 12 months from the groundbreaking ceremony to the move into the new premises. This period was characterized by quick decisions and a high level of commitment from all parties involved in parallel with the operational business operations.
With this expansion, the production area will be increased by a further 1000m². In addition to the new warehouse, the new rack warehouse houses a total of 4 Kardex Schuttles. These are each equipped with 45 trays, a total of 180 trays and a payload of 87 tonnes. This can be described as particularly sustainable, as a good tenfold increase in floor space to 480 Euro pallets is achieved on a floor area of 45 Euro pallets.
This results in a great benefit in the supply of parts and a high degree of work simplification.
Here, the focus is on customers in terms of adherence to delivery dates, after-sales service and a very good supply of spare parts.
